Quality Controller

Role Summary:

Reporting to the Section Leader, the Quality Controller’s duties include undertaking a series of jobs for which you are trained, or competent to perform, relating to the production of IrvinGQ products.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • To undertake inspection tasks assigned by the Section Leader or Delivery Manager
  • To undertake and deliver any training requested by Company
  • To request training and advice when required in undertaking of inspection tasks
  • To record relevant information to ensure lot traceability
  • To check traceability of all work carried out in the production process.
  • Correct booking of daily timesheets
  • To adhere to health and safety polices
  • Undertake miscellaneous tasks as directed by the Section leader
  • Keep all working areas clean/tidy and organised
  • Demonstrate initiative looking ahead to ensure minimum downtime is achieved on all jobs
  • To maintain and improve quality of products where possible.

Critical Skills Required:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to detect and act upon manufacturing discrepancies
  • Ability to read drawings and understand written instructions
  • Strong measuring ability, using devices such as ruler, tape, Vernier and table markings
  • Good manual dexterity

Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • A sound manufacturing background
  • Basic understanding of computers
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good general communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Drive and energy combined with ambition
  • Ability to work unsupervised

Physical / safety considerations

  • Strict observation of safety rules and regulations working within the various environments within IrvinGQ.
