Role Summary


As an IT Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and supporting our IT systems, hardware, and providing first line support with a security first approach to all aspects. Your primary focus will be providing technical assistance to end users, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operations across the organisation. You will champion the helpdesk queue, and be involved in a variety of IT projects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
  • Escalate complex issues to other IT team members as necessary.
  • Administrating an on-premise Windows environment AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and File servers.
  • Administrating the Microsoft 365 suite in a hybrid environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates.
  • Monitor and help create Knowledge Base articles for the Support Team’s usage.
  • Assist with IT projects, such as hardware upgrades, network deployments, and software rollouts.
  • Ensure compliance and IT security standards are met.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong understanding and knowledge of Windows operating systems, Windows Server and Microsoft 365.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with IT helpdesk systems and ticket management.
  • Continuous development in line with role, and a commitment to ongoing education and skills enhancement through certifications.

Advantageous Skills and Experience:

  • 1+ years’ experience in a first line support role.
  • Recognised IT certifications, e.g. CompTIA A+

Other Considerations:

  • Be prepared for occasional travel to remote sites in Letchworth and Toulouse, France.
  • Able to hold a UK SC security clearance
  • UK driving license.
