The Production Analyst is responsible for modelling the operations function across the business, determining appropriate measures and controls to enable analysis of the performance of the system and to provide continuous improvement. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply “systems thinking” to define, model and analyse the operations function.
  • Use the ERP System (Syspro) to automatically generate data and reports for analysis.
  • Generate daily/weekly/monthly/annual reporting data to support decision making, which will include:
    o Monthly reports to the Senior Leadership Team and the parent company.
    o Quarterly presentation data for the business.
    o Annual Operating Plan data for analysis and presentation.
  • Co-ordinate, analyse and report on productivity projects to ensure the company achieves its targets for steady reduction of annual operating costs.
  • Develop a problem solving process which describes requirements in a work-flow chart and diagram, studies system capabilities and analyses alternative solutions.

 

INTRINSIC SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Expert level of skill in information analysis, including the ability to extract complex data from relational databases, and interpret highly complex information to draw conclusions from it.
  • Technical knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Excel at an Advanced level.
  • Ability to negotiate and to justify their position when required.
  • Ability to understand various manufacturing methods and techniques.
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Maintaining continuous professional development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideally degree qualified and/or similar qualification with relevant experience.
  • SQL, Microsoft Excel Advanced Level.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Commercial Officer will be primarily responsible for the provision of general commercial support to the Commercial team and wider business with a focus on the drafting and management of contracts and commercial agreements, utilising supporting processes, procedures and templates as applicable. The Commercial Officer will also support the Commercial function in the administration and management of export control activities across the business.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide general commercial support to the business on a variety of matters.
  • Support the review and drafting of commercial agreements as required, investigating contractual issues where necessary.
  • Report on the status of contract negotiations, agreements and deliverables to Commercial Manager.
  • Support the implementation and management of commercial agreement management tools and processes within the Commercial function.
  • Support the optimisation the company’s commercial position on running contracts. Undertake reviews of existing agreements and ongoing monitoring of running agreements, with appropriate actions taken such as the administering of renewals etc.
  • Support and provide key input into specific tenders, negotiations and other business activities when required.  Support contract negotiations and progress reviews with customers.
  • Liaise extensively with key stakeholders to ensure risks, assumptions and dependencies are clearly defined, contemplated for and accounted in commercial documentation including proposals and contracts.
  • Foster productive relationships with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders in order to manage contract changes and other general issues and tasks.
  • Establish a close working relationship with the procurement function to ensure terms and conditions are flowed up and down the supply chain appropriately.
  • Support management and administration of the compliance system, procedures, processes, logs and forms for regulatory and legislative matters, including export control, intermediaries and general legal activities.
  • Provide guidance and support the management and administration of export control activities across the business, including audits, reporting and licensing requirements.
  • Ensure that business activity is conducted in line with company values, policies, code of business conduct and ethics.
  • Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested.

  • Regulated industry experience (Aerospace and Defence preferred).
  • Must be able to obtain UK Security Clearance.
  • IT literate, with extensive Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, written and interpersonal skills.

Desirable

  • Experience of negotiating with customers throughout EMEA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To deliver tasks allocated by Engineering Managers and Senior Engineers to the required time, cost, quality and scope:
Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Innovative design of novel solutions
  • Verification, validation (including conduct of trials)
  • Preparation of design documentation
  • Changes to drawings, material and constructional specifications
  • Providing support for the completion of BIDS
  • To actively and positively contribute to the design and development of new products / services
  • To support other departments in the successful delivery of existing products / services.

As a buyer in the Procurement team, you will embrace working as a team and possess a strong will to succeed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead evaluation, sourcing, negotiation and procurement of goods, services and outsourcing activities to achieve the best purchasing conditions and quality product in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Supplier relationship management (during development through to production); including supplier performance and change management.
  • Liaise extensively with key stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly defined prior to sourcing.
  • Management of purchase orders within ERP system, ensuring expediting activities are undertaken to support business need, whilst inventory is efficiently managed.
  • Manage and support costing activities into Bids by analysing key data to evaluate price and costs.
  • Explore alternate sources for goods and materials when appropriate.
  • Experience in the development and maintenance of Supplier Sub-Contracts.
  • Understanding of KPI’s and able to successfully ensure suppliers deliver against them.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings.
  • Possible travel between business site in Llangeinor and Bridgend will be required.

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Technician will be responsible for the day to day support of the IT systems, networks and supporting software.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • First line of contact and support to end users via telephone, email and face-to-face;
  • Raising and updating user support issues;
  • Providing desktop / server based support;
  • Where appropriate provide basic training and advice of software use after installation
  • Troubleshooting and isolation as well as performing Systems Administrator duties within a Windows Active Directory environment including:
    o Group policies;
    o User accounts;
    o Mailboxes;
    o Permissions.
  • Performing diagnostics of common network problems;

INTRINSIC SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Understand and manage our key IT (e.g. Syspro, Microsoft Office, networks, mail system)
  • Assist in providing IT solutions as and when the business demands
